cause i’m all over it
and while it never gets old
i guess you had to be there

standing-fist
c’est mon groove
tagged and snagged
in the big gulp creek

unbutton my trousers
don’t be such a drag
tell me stories a la good luck
watch me
skippety doo-da
through heaven-hooker
watch me
take another swig-promise
recognizant of a newborn
rollin around fever-stricken
with hillbilly mary
at a flea market dance

watching her watch me
in a bright dallas dream

a rooster howls
and the lights flicker to
we suddenly remember
but its way too late
now
