When commenting on poetry and prose, I like to avoid making pop culture references, but the short brilliance of "Zombies" reminded me of the "Dawn of the Dead" and the last zombie flick I watched, "Shaun of the Dead". What I appreciate most about this literary exercise is the dark humor in the recesses of his anti-hero's mind, regarding parts of the brain that retain our self-destructive thoughts we would gladly have consumed by zombies. Well done!
