The Vote

Two people were sitting on my couch.
One had red hair, one black. Both dyed their hair.
‘Look,’ I said, ‘I have two cupcakes.’ One was chocolate, one vanilla.
‘I’ll just put them here in front of you,’ I said.
‘To see what we do,’ said red, who was smart.
The cupcakes sat for several minutes.
‘I’m eating the chocolate,’ said black, who was clever.
‘Good, I’m quite partial to vanilla,’ said red.
I said, thanks, I’ve been wanting to throw out this plastic container.
