The light stinks today
at least for your
preferred forms of capture.
Someone
has done one
better than me, there is
a compelling yellow
Melville on the wall.
All around me I can hear
part call out to part
and part to whole, you are here
on earth to make me cry.
The light is beautiful.
When I am out of poetry
I am really out of it

A nice, tidy tribute to Jack Spicer. It is coincidental that someone was talking to me about him recently and how I need to check out his stuff. I haven’t read any of his poetry- this reminds me to go look for some.
