A sheepish grin and half-hearted wave

makes me laugh and thank the pebble stuck

in the sole of old unworn shoes.

A waning pate and stupor reminded me

why I waxed on all the attached words

settled at the bottom of the blues.

I watched you swim away

sparkling

school of fresh fish in rapturous seas.
