NEWS

News from your friends @ H and H:
Take some time to think and read thru our archives and nominate a poem, story, etc for Dzanc Books “Best of the Web 2007”. This print anthology will be the first serious attempt to represent in book form the best literary writing online magazines have to offer. This exciting print anthology will receive wide promotion and distribution and will rival in scope and breadth the likes of The Pushcart Prize anthology, The O-Henry Prize Stories, and Best American Short Stories. Beginning in 2008 the Dzanc Best of the Web anthology will appear annually each spring.
So, dear readers, find the poem or story you most enjoyed @ H and H this year and email us @ haggardandhalloo@gmail.com.
Include the name of the article, name of the author and the date it was posted. We’ll collect your nominations and send them to Dzanc Books as the top 3 choices from Haggard and Halloo for 2007. The deadline is Oct. 30th, so all nominations must be in before then.
Also, take a moment to read the interview @ Men of the Web . Haggard and Halloo member, Travis Catsull, talks about publishing, poetry and you.
Have a good weekend,
Haggard and Halloo

“The woods are lovely dark and deep and I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, did you hear me Butterfly?..
Miles to go before you sleep. There ar few things as fetching as a bruised ego on a beautiful angel. So.., how ’bout that lap dance?”
Nice bio/interview for “Men of the Web”. Keep Kickin’ Ass and Takin’ Names, and keep on playin’ those fuckin’ reindeer games!

  2. We decided to leave this up all weekend to insure it was read. Sorry for the delay. Thanks to everyone who has sent in a nomination. If you haven’t nominated a poem, please do. We’d really like to know what your favorite has been this year.
