There`s a horsefly trying to sexually assault me as I lay by the glimmering chlorine manhole.
A slight breeze can be felt, but not enough to carry my thoughts away,
So I sit with them in awkward silence as we pretend not to notice one another.
My skin tingles as the sun`s rays penetrate each exposed pore, leaving behind it`s signature tag.
I do my best to play dead as it has it`s way with me.
Consensual sunburns appear to be the norm around here.
As for this horsefly, well, I don`t think he`s going to make it.
You see, the desert is a harsh place, and somethings aren`t meant for this heat.
