Life… Or something like it.

“Life… Or something like it”
by Salma Maref
Sentimentally confused.
In the shade of pulseless weep,
defenses succumbed.
A belief in synchronization,
ought to emanate,
precious, like this shallow breath,
and sinful never was,
pretending courage
for a moment of time,
to snatch remains
from cemeteries’ hooks.
Evoking an essence of a life,
or something like it…
