A stray dog will always set the scene, especially when black,
especially when there is a quiet dirt road and a black stray dog
is sitting silently at the end
or when a black stray dog is whimpering quietly at the end of a dirt road.
Especially, when that black stray dog is like a shadow,
or casting a shadow on the ground,
or the light from the lamp post at the end of the road is casting the shadow of a stray dog on the ground, who sits, still, quietly whimpering.
