Kodak files for bankruptcy on Friday. On Saturday, Telly Sevalas, star of “Kojakâ€, celebrates his birthday. On Friday, there is a photograph of George Eastman, late of Kodak, standing next to a camera with Thomas Edison. On Saturday, I read that Telly Sevalas, star of Kodak, has another birthday, long after his death. On Sunday, I looked for my newspaper, and for my glasses, for surely, I thought, Telly Sevalas never starred as Kodak, the maverick film company that filed for bankruptcy on Friday. But I could no longer find the article, for on Saturday, Esteban threw out the newspapers, threw out Kodak, threw out Telly Sevalas, and quite possibly, but not really, threw out Telly Sevalas, late of Kojak, a star by way of Kodak, years after he died, and worst of all, the day after his birthday.
