it’s like a thing you heard about
being compared to something else
when you haven’t seen either yet
so when you finally do see both
the comparison is how you know them
but because that came first to you
you only know them in that way
and will never know the difference

Ah, well put. Funny how we’re so often caught in our thinking making comparisons or finding how one thing relates to another–tis human nature, I’m sure.
