Thrift Shop Globe-Trotting

Thrift Shop Globe-Trotting
by Kevin Ridgeway

Infinite cities in between
used laundered clothes
a fugitive from my mother
colliding into other
miniature road warriors
of many
backgrounds and
in the depths of the
hanging racks
fighting over
territories in
between skid-marked
underpants and
flowered dresses
I was deported
at the border of
Men’s Summer Wear
and stacks of
cent paperback
continents, the
scattered sea of
doorknobs and
mutilated baby
dolls drowning me
in discarded
