Friday Afternoon
Friday Afternoon
by Dan Oberhaus
The world twitches
quivers, writhes
in unison-
as a child lets
happiness run down
her chin
and all the whores in
dark hotels with businessmen
(whose marionettes have
long since tired of their repetition)
will swallow their long
dead pride tonight.
Dan Oberhaus lets us into an underground scene of his finely drawn poetry’s ease and tease.
