A MYSTIC MOMENT

A MYSTIC MOMENT
by Stefanie Bennett

… Thinking about
The ones
I’ve loved before

Time passed
Quickly;
Parking

Its polyphonic
Pork-pie
Hat

In a field of
Verboten
Stone.

  1. Stefanie Bennett allows the logic of language to make all
    of us be aware of our carelessness, fearlessness,self- awareness in time and place by her floating poetic imagery.

  2. The heart wants what it wants. But it might not be what we need. Like a damned minefield, love is laden. Careful where you
    Tromp.

    I liked the imagery of the verboten stone ending the poem as a lonesome whistling cemetery of love’s demise.
